It seems like some of the most innovative therapy research is coming out of the UK and Australia. Mentalization Based Therapy and Schema Therapy are really good modalities that haven’t gained traction in the USA because of the idea that DBT is the ‘gold standard’ for BPD. Another therapy that is coming out of the UK is Deep Brain Reorienting. This looks like it could be an excellent adjunct to EMDR, especially with preverbal trauma and attachment shock. I just ordered the book. If it’s interesting I will consider going to the training in Dublin, Ireland in November. Click here to get access to a podcast with DBR founder Frank Corrigan, MD.
